Barbara was born in Reno, Nevada, and has called Austin "home" since 1966. As a Certified Senior Advisor, Barbara brings a broad base of experience in planning for and meeting the needs of adults with intellectual disabilities. Barbara helps families navigate the complex government benefits of Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security, and works to maximize these benefits for their loved ones. With a background in estate planning and probate, Barbara applies extensive knowledge of both legal and medical considerations required in the process of long-term planning. Active in the community, Barbara served as a Board of Director for the Buda Chamber of Commerce and as Chairman of the Finance Committee. She assists families locally, nationally and internationally, with developing life options for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Rosie Dunlap, Admissions Coordinator

Born and raised in Dripping Springs, Rosie returned to the Austin area after earning her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Vanderbilt University. She brings a background in marketing and public relations to her role as Admissions Coordinator. Rosie became passionate about health care and helping individuals with cognitive challenges after watching a family member go through the recovery process after sustaining a traumatic brain injury.

Jenna joined the Marbridge family in the Admissions Department in 2013. She graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, specializing in Reading while also studying music therapy. In addition, Jenna holds an Assisted Living Managers Certificate. Jenna has years of training and experience in hospitality, customer service, event planning, and creative arts, which she utilizes to host guests to Marbridge and to plan activities to enrich the lives of the Marbridge residents. Her experience in teaching children in special education settings has given her a unique insight into the characteristics of our residents. Jenna works to educate members in the community about all that Marbridge has to offer. Passionate about helping families in need, Jenna stays educated about local and national services that assist families on their quest in finding appropriate placements for their loved ones. She acts as an advocate and liaison for Marbridge residents if they might have a local hospital stay. She enjoys volunteering in her church, with Mobile Loaves and Fishes, the Dripping Springs Athletic Booster Club, and the Dripping Springs Youth Sports Association. In addition to her service to Marbridge, Jenna mothers three amazing kids.


General Admission Information

The Ranch at Marbridge Eligibility Requirements:

  • 18 years of age
  • Primary diagnosis of developmental delay or cognitive challenge
  • Independent in activities of daily living and/or in need of verbal prompting or training
  • Able to ambulate and transfer independently
  • Able to follow a schedule of training and activity
  • Possible interest in maintaining on-campus employment
  • Free of aggressive or threatening behaviors

The Village at Marbridge Eligibility Requirements:

  • 18 years of age
  • Primary diagnosis of developmental delay or cognitive challenge
  • Independent in activities of daily living
  • Able to ambulate and transfer independently
  • Able to follow a schedule of training and activity
  • Possible interest in maintaining employment on or off campus
  • Free of aggressive or threatening behaviors

The Villa Skilled Nursing Center at Marbridge Eligibility Requirements:

  • 18 years of age
  • In need of physical assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, toileting, grooming, etc.)
  • In need of medical care provided by registered, licensed and certified nursing staff
  • If developmentally delayed, meets the requirements of pre-admission Screening and Resident Review (PASARR) as approved in writing by a physician or official nurse
  • Free of aggressive or threatening behaviors

The Bridges Recovery Center at Marbridge Eligibility Requirements:

  • 18 years of age
  • Qualifying hospital stay for skilled benefits
  • In need of skilled nursing and therapeutic discipline (PT, OT, ST, etc.)
